Doing Education Differently
On Thursday 21st May the Stoke CEP hosted a Zoom session for over 45 participants from across the country around the catalyst of an article written by Steve Hall entitled ‘Doing Education Differently”. The participants discussed and explored themes including:
- If we are serious about wanting to ‘do education differently’, particularly considering what has been happening during the COVID-19 pandemic and school/society lockdown, what do we want education to look like post COVID-19?
- What would we keep/loose from what is happening now and from what we had prior to the pandemic?
- What have we missed or not even thought about yet?
- How do we put it all together to create a new way of providing education and learning for our everyone in our communities that is equitable and inclusive and unlocks the potential in us all?
The session highlighted a number of avenues for further development around community led learning through arts and culture.
